Small but comfortable room. Excellent location. Friendly staff.

Good value for money

Located nearby Kamo river, close to buses that are directly going to Kyoto station and Ginkaku-ji, also to metro station Shichijo. Room is clean and comfortable. Beds are spacious. Cleaning staffs are really nice. Communication between different shift of receptionists may not be the best.

Wifi is practically not usable.

Very clean and quiet rooms 10 minutes from Kyoto Station.

Great Location to Kyoto station, Bars, Restaurants and convivence stores. Very clean room and quiet - slept well. Fridge and kettle were a bonus. Wifi good.

Room was a bit small for 2 travellers with large suitcases, but we found this in many hotels in Japan.

Very Good

I needed to get a Western-style room on short notice as my body was not compatible with the futon mattresses at the ryokan we booked nearby in Kyoto, even doubled up. This fit the bill: small but good bed, affordable, clean, plugs, all the basics. The check-in is a little minimally staffed but someone always came out of the back pretty quickly if needed. It was also helpful to have plenty of tables and chairs in the lobby where we could eat dinner picked up from elsewhere (551 Horai).

My keycard stopped working at one point and I think I had to get a new one. Everyone was helpful though and it was resolved quickly.

Very Good

My room was very comfortable and I had a view of the mountains surrounding Kyoto. The nearby coffee shop was congenial but crowded and the hotel was only a few minutes to busses to the station or around the City.

The hotel had no food service and there was no convenience store nearby.

The rooms were spacious and new. We liked the bathroom as well. Staff was very kind.

Rooms were noisy, could hear the people in the next room talk and cough. They didnt change the rubbish bin everyday. Also it was still quite far out of the best parts of Kyoto, but easy accessible with 2 trainstops. There wasnt an outlet next to the second bed, which seemed odd to us.

Clean and comfortable - I would stay here again

The layout of the room was great, bed was comfortable, bathroom was so so so clean. Everything was very clean, in fact. There's also a nice lobby/seating area, that has a microwave, next to the reception. The location is close to many areas that are of interest for tourists

The location was great but it's in a very quiet residential neighbourhood and taxis are more difficult to get from there. Staff will say that they can't help you book taxis, and Uber wasn't that great in helping me find an available driver. Also, I left my luggage locked up in the lobby on my last day and I suspect that another guest moved it. Their tampering with my luggage made the handle of my suitcase snap in half. This made the rest of my trip a bit more difficult.I asked the staff about what happened and they said they didn't know anything about it. This is fair because it's their policy to take no responsibility, but expect the staff to be hands-off about things that don't concern them (luggage, taxis etc)

Clean. Confortable bed. Room size is ok

Wi-Fi does not work properly in the room. Room service only after 3 days. Lack of bedside lamps make the room kind of uncomfortable

Great Location, clean and comfortable.

This is a great hotel in a very convenient location to the central part of town. It is close enough to the action but quiet enough to not be staying in chaos. The room was very clean and very comfortable.

Good value hotel in quiet but convenient location.

We loved the quiet location between the 2 rivers but with a craft beer bar, sake bars and restaurants near by, and metro stations, bus stop and main station all in walking distance. Coffee, juice and soda machine in the lobby.

Room was small but ok by Japanese standards. Reception was often unmanned.

Comfortable room if you just plan to use the hotel for sleeping

Location was good, being near the Kyoto station. The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice size.

Internet wasn’t working in the beginning and we had to insist on it getting fixed (we checked online how to solve the problem). There is not a proper reception, only people there at check-in time and don’t speak much English. If you arrive before 16h, you’re not allowed to check-in (even if the room is ready) and you can leave your bags locked to a pole in the reception, however when we arrived there were no more locks available.

It is a good hotel and the room we had was spacious. Maybe some sound isolation would be nice.

Location and the room was very good.

We had the room 106 which is located next to the reception, next to the hall bathrooms and in-front of the washing machines. I was woken up by people dragging the suitcases and slamming the doors of the washing machines.
